Revealed: Why Kericho County Speaker Ordered Ejection of Journalists From House Premises Today

Kenya is a devolved state operating on forty seven counties where by powers have been transferred from the national government to the county governments.

Today, Kericho county speaker Hon Patrick Mutai ordered the sergeant at arms to eject around fifteen journalists from the county assembly premises today ahead of the special sitting expected to be stormy.

According to the reliable source frim the Nation Africa, the journalists kicked out of the house premises were from the Royal Media services, Standard media, Nation Africa media group, K24 and local vernacular radio stations.

It has been revealed that the journalists have been ejected out of the house premises so as not to be able to cover the special sitting that will debate the county's supplementary budget.

In conclusion, the act of the county speaker to order the Sergeant at Arms to kick out the journalists from house premises has ignited mixed reactions from the Kenyans.
