Speaking during an interview with the newly launched Ramogi Television on Monday 29th November, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga thanked his Luo backyard people for standing with him upto where he is now.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank our people for standing with me upto where we are today," Raila said.
He further noted that he was not so impressed with the number of people from the four Luo Nyanza counties who turned out to register as voters during the mass voter registration and reminded those who are still yet to register that there is still continuous voter registration.
"I want to remind our people who did not register during the mass voter registration that the continuous voter registration is still going on and they should do so," he added.
The former prime minister further noted that he will be announcing on Friday 10th December on whether he will contest for presidency or not and requested his backyard people to turn up in large numbers to witness the event.
He pleaded with the people from the four Luo Nyanza counties, Migori, Kisumu, Homa Bay and Siaya to ensure they evaluate leaders carefully since that is what will bring development in the region.
