Speaker of the National Assembly, Justin Muturi, has stepped out to declare his decision on which coalition he will form ahead of the 2018 elections. Muturi said in an interview with Salim Swaleh on NTV that he is still thinking about it and that when the time comes, he will call whoever he has decided to collaborate with.
"I will invite Kenya First, Resolution or OKA to come and talk when you arrive (I will invite Kenya First, Resolution or OKA when the right time comes" he stated.
When asked who his election running mate will be, he replied that arrangements are in the works, but that person will not be from the Mt Kenya region. That's when he was asked which of the three coalitions he would choose to join: OKA, Azimio, or Kenya Kwanza. He stated that if pressed, he would be willing to negotiate.
"I still can't say the right thing but it is work in progress ... He can't come from Mount Kenya but the ones we talked to are people whose thoughts are together" Muturi stated.
