Sotik constituency MP is in big trouble with bodaboda riders from his constituency after Millions contributed in a fundraising attended by deputy president 2 months ago is allegedly missing. The MP Dominic Koskei is said to have no clear information on the whereabouts of the money despite him being the custodian. The riders are now on his neck demanding an explanation on the same.
The bodaboda riders demonstrated two days ago accusing Emurua Dikir MP Johanna Ngeno of joining hands with their MP in squandering the money and taking them in circles whenever they inquire. The motive of their demonstration was to get the attention of deputy president William Ruto who was the chief guest in the fundraising. They asked him to order the two legislators to come clear on the said contribution.
Emurua Dikir MP in bid to clear his name, visited the bodaboda riders on Sunday where he distanced himself from the allegations saying the money remained with the area MP ."The money that was raised on that day is with Hon. Dominic Koskei and I urge hustlers to be patient with the area MP," Ngeno said.
In a fresh twist, the area MP says only 4.1Million was raised but the riders are saying 6.8Million was raised and they say they have video clips to support their claims. The MP said out of 4.1 million contributed, 1Million was used for mobilization. He cleared the air saying the money is intact and will be channelled into a sacco.
"Those who wished for subdivision...etc and organized demos for cheap PR for today...pole..the sacco has to operate and outlive your political gimmicks. The 4.1M sacco seed capital that the Hustler in chief and I raised with support from my colleagues and friends awaits the official
The riders have threatened to hold another demonstration if the MP doesn't provide them clear information on the same .
