Orange Democratic party leader Raila Odinga has been saying that the main agenda of his government if he gets to office will be to fight unemployment. This is if he decides to contest for the 2022 general elections. While in a campaign in Naivasha on Saturday 9, Raila told the residents that he will make sure all the unemployed people are cared for.
The leader said that if he wins the elections, his government ill form a welfare which will distribute six thousand shillings for each unemployed Kenyan. He also said that to end the problem of unemployment among the youth, he will provide capital for the youth after they complete school. The manner in which the money will be allocated was however not mentioned.
Raila is yet to announce to the Kenyans his decision as to whether he will be vying for the presidential seat come next year. He had earlier on said that he will make the announcement after seeing how voters will have turned out for the registration process that is currently ongoing countrywide.
