With the upcoming August general elections getting nearer and nearer, presidential hopefuls are busy crisscrossing the country as they market themselves. Deputy President William Ruto and Raila Odinga are considered as the top contenders to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta when he finished his second term in August.
DP Ruto recently joined hands with ANC party leader Hon Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya Party leader Hon Moses Wetangula. Their moves might have complicated ODM leader Hon Raila Odinga's political equation.
However, Dikembe, Raila Odinga's close ally has revealed through his Twitter page that Raila Odinga will still lead in the following Rift Valley counties in the August general elections despite DP Ruto enjoying huge support. It includes the following counties;
1. Nakuru
2. Tans Nzoia
3. Samburu
4. Kajiado
5. Narok
6. West Pokot
7. Turkana
8. Laikipia
