Bw. Mabeyo has assured her that the protection of the country and its borders is safe and will continue to protect her, obey her as Commander-in-Chief and carry out his duties in accordance with the Tanzanian constitution.
"We promise you the utmost obedience, integrity and honesty as per the customs and traditions of our armies in all previous phases for the benefit of the protection, security and nation building." Said General Mabeyo.
General Mabeyo made the remarks in Chato while congratulating President Samia Suluhu Hassan on her inauguration as Attorney General.
About how he got to know and work with him the late Magufuli General Mabeyo said;"He trusted and loved the security forces and made sure that he provided them with operational and administrative requirements so that they could carry out their duties effectively and professionally."
"He said we cannot have strong defense systems without a strong economy. We cannot rely on aid to strengthen our forces. We must strengthen our economy so that we can strengthen our defense and security forces."
Mabeyo said they were involved in protecting the Tanzanite mine, and before protecting it, built a wall around the mine.
