Reactions After Kikuyu Elders Accept Defeat Ahead Of IEBC Big Announcement

Kikuyu council of elders chairman Kiogo Wachira and other members plopped a late-night shocker as they acknowledged loss after promoting Raila Odinga.

Speaking on a Kikuyu local radio station, the elders said that they were not counseled by populist judgments or feelings when they upheld Azimio la Umoja coalition flag bearer Raila Odinga as their presidential choice.

The elders disclosed that they declined to browse the political mood in the Mt. Kenya region before they resolved on consenting Raila Odinga. However, they demonstrated that since Uhuru Kenyatta was their Kingpin and had endorsed Raila to succeed him they had to endorse him too.

They acknowledged that William Ruto was loved by the people of the Mt. Kenya region and garnered many votes within the region correlated to Raila whom they had endorsed.

The elders also said that they had split up ways in ratifying and aiding the leaders since a section of the elders led by Uhuru's cousin Kung'u Mwigai supported William Ruto.

Wachira Kiago said that they will approve the final results of IEBC and they will proceed supporting Uhuru as their Kingpin in the Mt. Kenya region. Otherwise, they called Kenyans to calm down and allow IEBC to complete and declare openly the conqueror.
