Raila Odinga had earlier threatened to quit the election if the IEBC was not going to abide by his stand that the manual register must be used during the 2022 election. In response, IEBC commisioner Marjan H Marjan has reminded him that the court of appeal made a decision aheadof 2017 elections that digital register is the primary register that the IEBC will use.
This is a huge blow to the former prime minister who has been claiming that Kenya Kwanza is trying to steal elections through the usage of digital register. William Ruto who has been a key player in Kenya's politics has however downplayed the claims saying that Raila Ofinga has sensed defeat.

The Electral and boundaries commission chairman has also added that there are no ballot papers that are being transported from Uganda and that the elections will be free fair and verifiable.
