Ruto Gets Less Than 700 Votes Out Of 84,849 Valid Votes In Rarieda Constituency

As the deadline for announcing the outcome of the hotly disputed presidential election approaches, election tallying has resumed within the Bomas of Kenya as IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati and his colleagues race against time to meet it.

The disclosed and tallied votes so far have prompted varied opinions among Kenyans, while the Verification process of Forms 34B is still ongoing.

The tallying center of the bomas has descended into anarchy and violence as agents for both Kenya Kwanza and Azimio have displayed their deep-seated hatred of one another in a series of brutal confrontations.

For many, the most surprising item that has come out of the vote tallying process is the fact that in one constituency, William Ruto received fewer than 700 votes.

These numbers came from Raila Odinga's bastion in Azimio, the Rarieda Constituency in Siaya County.

An estimated 84,849 voters are registered. True majorities. Cast - 61,864. There were 263 invalid votes. Raila - 61,022. Among the 661 votes cast, 641 went to Ruto. A total of 40 people have voted, and Waihiga is the winner. 141 people have said Wajackoyah.
