Nakuru West constituency and ODM party have been dealt a blow after a popular name and 2017 constituency post aspirant Eric Ogada died. The politician died on Friday evening after battling illness for a long.
Ogada a popular electrical engineer across Nakuru west was diagnosed with many ailments including chronic ulcers and pneumonia in December of 2020. He was admitted to Coptic hospital and was discharged after a short while. During routine check-ups, his doctors revealed that his kidneys had a problem.
"For the avoidance of unnecessary anxiety and speculations, I find it important to inform you that I have been unwell and undergoing treatment for the better part of this year for a wide range of ailments including chronic ulcers, pneumonia, etc which have so far been managed," Ogada said earlier while he was sick.
Ogada was actively part of football activities in the constituency. His fans and those who played with him have taken to social media to mourn him.
"Nakuru west is mourning have lost a soccer lover comrade Hon. Eric Ogada...Rest in power senior we shall miss ogada peace love and unity tournament. on behalf of All nakuru west football clubs and Nakuru county football Association. My sincere heartfelt condolences to the family," Omieri said.
He had declared his interest in running to replace the fierce Samuel Arama in the Nakuru West legislative seat. May he rest in peace.
