Former Kiambu Governor Hon. William Kabogo has revealed that he has been on the ground studying the changes that have been taking place concerning the most popular presidential candidate in Kiambu county. Kabogo is currently engaged in a struggle to reclaim his gubernatorial seat using his Tujibebe Wakenya Party ticket.
And he has conceded that the landscape has changed, and that at this point, Raila Odinga and deputy president William Ruto will be getting about equal votes in this county with more than one million votes combined.
In addition to this, he disclosed that the candidate for the Roots party, Hon. George Wajackoyah, has garnered some support in the area and is expected to receive a significant number of votes.
He wants the citizens of the state to vote for anybody they want for president, but he wants them to choose him as their next governor in the upcoming general election.
"I have been on the ground especially in Kiambu county, and I can tell you there are people who will vote for former prime minister Raila Odinga, others who will vote for deputy president William Ruto, and now Prof. George Wajackoyah," said Hon. William Kabogo. "I can tell you there are people who will vote for former prime minister Raila Odinga because I have been on the ground." I am urging the people who voted for these other candidates to consider electing me as their Governor," he went on to say.
The Kenya Kwanza Team is facing much cracks as some small parties forming it are moving out of the coalition.
