After 2007 general election, grand coalition Government was formed so as to accommodate both former president Mwai Kibaki and Raila Odinga. Mwai Kibaki and Raila Odinga's allies shared the Government almost in the same portion.
To ensure that power was shared equally, prime minister and two deputy prime minister's posts were introduced. Raila Odinga became prime minister deputised by president Uhuru Kenyatta and ANC Party leader Hon Musalia Mudavadi.
According to the report from Emoo Fm, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed that he was the one who convinced Kibaki to appoint Uhuru Kenyatta for the post. At that time, Kalonzo was vice president.
As that is not enough, Kalonzo also convinced Kibaki to appoint Uhuru Kenyatta as minister of finance according to the report.
