Kenya is experiencing an intensive campaign period as the August polls near. The presidential contest is shaping up to be a two horse race between deputy president William Ruto and former prime minister Raila Odinga. ODM party and UDA party seem to be the two most popular parties on the ground.

Today, Saturday 22nd, Raila Odinga toured Narok county for the Azimio la Umoja campaigns. Odinga was accompanied by a number of elected leaders from the county who went ahead to endorse him for the top seat.

Narok MP and Ruto ally, David Sankok, has come out to reveal how Raila's visit earned him profits. Through his social media platforms, Sankok has said that he managed to sell over 1000 Maasai shukas to the attendees of the rally.

According to the nominated MP, he sold each shuka at Ksh 700 making a profit of Ksh 220 per Shuka. The lawmaker adds that he had 10 employees who were doing the business and were among those attending the Ewaso Ngiro rally.

"1000 Maasai shukas earned me a net profit of Ksh 220,000. 10 of my employees were strategically located among the crowd incognito. I hope someone else sold rungus and vuvuzelas," alluded Sankok in part of his long statement.

The lawmaker has also disclosed that the former prime minister did not give a long speech in Ewaso Ngiro due to rains which dispersed his supporters. The MP has asked the youth to be taking advantage of business opportunities that come with a political rally.
