Narok Gubernatorial Contest is turning out to be a battle of two-horses since Patrick Ntutu of United Democratic Alliance Party (UDA) and Moitalel Ole Kenta Orange Democratic Movement party (ODM) are the only candidates who have shown interest in the top most seat.
The two are keen to succeed Governor Samuel Tunai who is serving his second and last term in office. The two have since been cleared by the electoral body after their running mates were ascertained and verified. Ntutu was forced to drop his former running mate Eng. Mathew Kipkorir at the last minute and replaced him with a 26-year-old Tamalinye Koech after Eng. Kipkorir failed to meet the integrity test.
But who is likely to be elected the county's next Governor? A survey poll by Mizani has shown that Patrick Ole Ntutu of UDA is tge most preferred candidate. As he commands a significant lead at 60.1 per cent while Kenta of ODM came a distant second with 39 per cent of while 0.9% of the respondents remained undecided.
