President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua continues with their official trip in Nyanza region and landed in Siaya, on 14th January 2023. On arriving in Siaya, the head of the country together with other national government officials were given warm welcome led by James Orengo and Oburu Odinga, the county's governor and senator respectively.

On their reception, Kenyans spotted DP Gachagua avoiding red carpet as shown.

According to Kenyans, this is not his first time, during police pass out at Embakasi A college, he was equally seen avoiding the red carpet together with Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja.

Therefore, as they were reacting, Kenyans tried to guess what could be making the second in command to avoid such great honor. Thus, majority of Kenyans stated that perhaps he is being humbled or maybe he is not used to such. Check out some of the Kenyans reactions below.
