The political season is yet again here with us and leaders are doing anything possible to win in the August polls. The nominations are now over and all eyes are focused on the bigger prize.
Last week during a Kenya Kwanza campaign rally in Nyandarua county, TSP gubernatorial aspirant Waithaka Kirika made the headlines after he publicly lectured Ruto's running mate and Mathira MP, Rigathi Gachagua.
Waithaka told William Ruto to warn Rigathi Gachagua from campaigning for UDA candidates alone and recognize that Kenya Kwanza is comprised of many other affiliated parties which have aspirants across the country.
"Our deputy president kindly warn Rigathi Gachagua to refrain from campaigning for UDA candidates. He should recognize that Kenya Kwanza has many parties and TSP is one of them. Gachagua should let each of the aspirant to hunt for their own votes," alluded Kirika.
However, the TSP party leader, Mwangi Kiunjuri, held a meeting today with the parliamentary and gubernatorial aspirants at the party headquarters. Waithaka Kirika was one of the aspirants attending the meeting.
Kiunjuri said that affiliate parties of Kenya Kwanza should refrain from fighting amongst themselves and instead concentrate on selling William Ruto.
"As Kenya Kwanza Alliance, we have a worthy opponent in Azimio and should therefore devote our time, energy and concentration towards our competitors rather than fighting each other," alluded Kiunjuri.
The former Agriculture cabinet secretary further rolled out a 30-days campaign program across the country in support of the Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate.
