Garissa County Residents Blame Governor Ali Korane For Failed Services

Garissa County Governor Ali Bunow Korane has been on the spot for the failed county government projects and the devastating conditions in the health sector, infrastructure, water shortage, the escalating unemployment rate in the county and the alleged revolting corruption scandals among the county officials.

In a video that has gone viral on social media as shared by blogger Cyprian Nyakundi, the Garissa county boss Ali Korane will leave the county in a pathetic state if the video claim is something to go by.

According to Garissa electorates, the health sector is sailing at the seabed with no drugs and beds in hospitals. Patients have been put on the task to survive in hospitals with no drugs and beds. This has consequently resulted to the increased mortality rate in Garissa county.

The county executives have also been put on the limelight for allegedly colluding with the Members of the County Assembly to award themselves county tenders and lucrative jobs at the county.

County tenders are said to be secured to the county officials and MCAs with their cronies and relatives walking away with colossal county money stashing them in the offshore accounts.

Water accessibility has remained a dilemma to Garissa residents as the water pans and other sources have gone dry due to the dry spell experienced especially in Modogashe sub-county.

After the umpteenth attempts of the residents making an acute cry to county government to chip in and resolve the water dilemma failed, they are now appealing to the international aid agencies for intervention and rescue their thirst.

The Agricultural sector is negatively affected due to the poor infrastructure such as roads that are currently in pathetic situation delaying the provision of agricultural produce to the markets.

Below is the link of the video as shared by blogger Cyprian on his Facebook page.

Garissa county residents have expressed their concern to be addressed in the public media so that they can enjoy county services as prescribed in the devolution urge.
