Mike Sonko was supposed to appear to court today to answer a case about his candidature for Mombasa gubernatorial seat. It seems the former Nairobi governor will be running late after Conjestina made a special request. Conjestina asked that Mike Sonko be the one to drive her to hospital.
Mike Sonko has shared a video on Facebook where he is seen driving the former boxing champion. In the video, Mike Sonko says Conjestina refused to be taken by any other person to hospital apart from Mike Sonko. Sonko had no otherwise but to oblige even if it meant him risking court proceedings that will determine if he will be on the ballot in August.
Mike Sonko and Conjestina have cultivated a friendship over the years. This is not the first time that Sonko is extending a helping hand to Conjestina. He has previously taken her to rehab centers in Nairobi and Mombasa. Sonko is currently footing all the bills for Conjestina's treatment.
