Ainabkoi Member of Parliament Hon William Chepkut has been missing in the public limelight for some time. The vocal politician has been recuperating in hospital for several weeks after he sustained injuries after being involved in a road accident.
On Wednesday, one government official, Esther Koimett, who is the Principal Secretary at the State Department of Broadcasting and Telecommunications visited Hon William Chepkut at the hospital and notified Kenyans that the lawmaker is doing well and is in good spirits.
"Just visited my mashinani MP Hon Chepkut - He is doing well & is in good spirits. Wish you a quick recovery Mheshimiwa @Chepkut_William. May God bless you." She twitted.
William Chepkut on the other hand thanked Esther Koimett for visiting him and for the good messages.
Several leaders such as Elgeiyo Marakwet Senator Hon Kipchumba Murkomen and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudihave also visited the ailing legislator in hospital. Kenyans have also rallied behind Hon Chepkut wishing him a quick recovery as soon as possible.
William Chepkut won the parliamentary seat in 2017 through an independent ticket. He is looking to defend his seat come next year.
