The region composes of meru county, Embu county, Kirinyaga county, Nyeri county, Murang'a county, Kiambu county, Nyandarua county and it also includes Nakuru county. This region is known to be voter richest in every election and since there is no well known kingpin everyone is eager to try his bait on the residents.
Among the people who are most known in the region and might receive massive votes from Central Kenya is Deputy president William Ruto. He has supported president Uhuru Kenyatta the two times he was vying for the top seat. His party is famous among the central people especially the youths and has been seen to overpower the jubilee party in several by-elections.
Former prime minister Raila odinga is also popular but his party is yet to secure a seat in any election in the region. This shows that come the election time the region may be divided interms of votes.
