Mutahi Ngunyi Predicts The Number Of Votes Karua Will Bring To Raila's Political Basket

You can't discuss the country's current politics without bringing up Martha Karua and allowing her to dominate your rant. The name bearer is one of those working around the clock to ensure that whoever takes over the statehouse following the August election does not have the name William Ruto.

Karua is working with Raila Odinga, the antidote to Samoei, to make her anti-Ruto political strategy a reality. Since her appointment as Raila's running mate, Narc-leader Kenya has set up camp in Mt Kenya, popularizing the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Coalition party and its agendas.

Will Karua keep her public promise to deliver more than 87 percent of the region's votes to Raila? Oh well, not exactly. In his most recent speech, Mutahi Ngunyi predicted that if she works extremely hard, she will receive more than 2.3 million votes.

The dreaded populist tyranny of numbers was weighing Kalonzo vs. Karua's importance. Wiper boss ended his relationship with Azimio recently after Raila ignored him.

Ngunyi believes Kalonzo has no more clout than Martha because the latter can garner more votes than Musyoka, who has a fan base of less than 1.7 million on Ukambani. Will Karua meet Ngunyi's expectations and prove her critics wrong? Time will only tell.
