PDP is set to begin its countrywide recruitment of new members beginning April this year.
The move by the Party associated with Migori Governor Okoth Obado is aimed at strengthening the party ahead of a major transformation of the Party ahead of 2022 General Election.
In an advert circulated online, PDP is requesting interested members to get registration forms from regional office in Migori, near lake junction Hotel along Migori Isebania road.
PDP member recruitment drive is expected to heighten political activity in the Luo-Nyanza as parties begin to mobilise in preparation for next year's General Elections.
As known from the past, ODM is always the party of discussion when one mentions Nyanza Region. With PDP in formation, rush for legislative seats will be the battle in next year's election. Currently ODM party has a total of 79 legislatures in the National Assembly. This may be thwarted if the party is renowned in the region.
