Duale’s Political Future Uncertain after Elders of Negotiated Democracy Endorse Raila Today

Garissa Town legislator Aden Duale's future in politics is uncertain following a decision by clan elders from his backyard to endorse a Raila Odinga presidency. The elders are credited for playing a key role in the future of politicians in the area. This is because they negotiate who is to hold which seat in the society.

Duale who is a close ally of the Deputy President might be forced to rethink and strategize a fresh on what the future holds for him in the political scene of the region. Today saw hundreds of elders and leaders from the region meet in the town and endorse Raila.

One of the key proponents and one who benefited from the negotiated democracy Senator Hajji was today in Garissa for the meeting and also endorsed Odinga as the next president of the Republic of Kenya. Duale is seeking to retain his seat on a UDA ticket in 2022.
