Leaders have began their 2022 campaigns. Some of the leaders are using meet the people tours to popularize their political bids at grassroot levels. One of the leaders is Kirinyanga governor Anne Waiguru.
The first term governor has been meeting his local residents for consultative meetings ahead of the next general election. She has been interacting with Kirinyanga local residents from different parts of the county. She has also been hosting Kirinyanga grassroot leaders at her official county residence in Kirinyanga.
Today the vocal governor has intensified with her meet the people tours in the county. This is part of her 2022 grassroots campaigns. She served her local residents tea as she interacted with Mwea residents.
The governor wrote on her official Facebook page that she had a cordial discussion with Mwea residents on how to improve the county under Kirinyanga is rising movement. She shared a cup of tea with the local residents.
Govenor Anne Waiguru is facing stiff competition from Kirinyanga women representative Purity Ngirici and interior principal secretary Dr. Karanja Kibicho who have shown interest in the gubernatorial seat.
