The National Cohesion and Integration Commission released new names which would be considered hate speech. This has stirred reactions on social media by citizens and politicians mostly from the Kenya Kwanza political divide. The speaker of the National Assembly has also raised his voice against the commission for quoting words that must be used whether they liked it or not.
The NCIC include sipangwingwi, Linda Kura, Kaffir, Eliminate, Kama mbaya mbaya, and many other words which politicians were told to abstain from while in campaigns for they spread hate speech in the country.
Muturi while addressing the media during his wedding with Kenya Kwanza claimed that the commission is having included Linda Kura as a lexicon word is illegal. He insisted that as a politician one should ensure his political agents guard their votes else they can be stolen.
“We will vote in August. Hizo kura lazima tuzilinde liwe liwalo. Agents lazima walinde kura. For those who are complicating our language, you are yet to see more. Tutaendelea vivyo hivyo.” Muturi said.
