One of the senior Cabinet Secretaries from the Mt. Kenya area welcomed His Excellency the Head of State president William Ruto when he arrived in Nyeri County on Tuesday.
Contrary to popular belief, the local deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua, was absent, therefore a senior cabinet secretary welcomed Ruto when he arrived on a Kenya Airforce helicopter.
He was welcomed by CS Kithure Kindiki, cabinet secretary in charge of the ministry of interior and a native of the bigger Mt. Kenya region's Tharaka Nithi County.
"Joined HE President William Ruto during the pass out parade for the Kenya Police constables at Kiganjo, Nyeri County. I wish all the 2, 881 graduands well as they start their new career as police officers and urge them to be good ambassadors of the National Police Service."The Cabinet Secretary in charge of the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government programs CS Kithure Kindiki.
His Excellency the deputy president was in Nairobi Presiding over other matters of national importance among them meeting several top leaders from across the nation.
Among those he met is His Excellency the Kisii county governor Simba Arati with whom they discussed several matters of national importance.
