Top Analyst Reveals Why Ruto is the Most Popular Presidential Candidate, Issues This Warning to Him

Deputy president William Ruto has gained a huge following for the past few months ever since he unveiled the hustler nation narrative. Backing it up with generous donations of assorted items to low income-earning Kenyans, the DP touched the hearts of many and made his way right into the grassroots. His royal supporters are now saying the hustler nation is unstoppable.

However, Political risk analyst Dismas Mokua has come out to reveal that the reason why deputy president William Ruto is the most popular candidate for 2022 is because he is the only one who has already declared his candidature and launched campaigns for the same. Mokua submits that Ruto is in a race against himself and therefore his popularity is not a true reflection of how things will turn out in 2022.

“It is important to note Ruto is the only one who has declared he is running for the President; he is the only one who is proactively campaigning. He is running in a race against himself,” Mokua told the Star on Friday.

He further dismissed the narrative that Ruto is unstoppable arguing that those pushing it are naïve, irrational and looking at politics from an emotional space. The vocal analyst observed that 2022 elections are still very far and a lot can change between now and that time. He warned Ruto and his allies against celebrating his current started while declaring that the real show will begin once all other candidates have thrown themselves in the race.

“If anybody tells you that Ruto’s march is unstoppable, then that is a naïve man who is looking at the politics from an irrational and emotional space. One day in politics is too long, 18 months is a nightmare, "added Mokua to the Star.

This comes at a time when Ruto is displaying confidence that no one will stop him from ascending to the presidency. He has previously dared ‘the system’ and the ‘deep state’ which he said had threatened to rig him out. He said he will arm himself with God and millions of voters as he seeks the top seat in the land.
