Kalonzo Musyoka meets UK ambassador HE Jonny Baxter

Former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka is well renowned as a peace arbitrator. He us been involved in several peaceful negotiation in the Africa continent. Recently he chaired peace talks in South Sudan which resulted in the formation of a coalition government between president Salva Kiir and his critic Gracia Machel. Today the former vice president met with united kingdom ambassador to Juba HE Jonny Baxter to discuss on the progress of South Sudan.

The ambassador paid a courtesy call to the wiper party leader in his official residential home at Karen. They discussed the progress of implementation of peace agreement of south sudan and key regional issues affecting the region in this time of coronavirus pandemic.

The former vice president committed to ensure stability and peace in south sudan. He praised the ambassador efforts in ensuring peace and economic prosperity in the country which was torn apart by divisive politics. The former vice president also handed over a book to the ambassador as a gift.

Both leaders agreed to work together to ensure south sudan stabilizes as soon as possible. Kalonzo Musyoka thanked united kingdom efforts in south sudan.
