The 2022 succession politics and Building Bridges Initiative continues to gain momentum, as various leaders holds rallies across the country. Among the noticeable presidential hopefuls who have shown interest to succeed President Uhuru include Raila Odinga and William Ruto. Raila was today in Narok drumming support for BBI.
Today, Dp Ruto took his campaigns to Nyandarua County where he attended a church service. While in service, chaos erupted at the gate of the church, PCEA in Olkalou. A video shared online shows police engaging with hundreds of residents who wanted to force their way in. Some of the residents were also carrying wheelbarrows.It took more than one hour to cool down the situation.
While speaking in Nyandarua, Dp Ruto reiterated that he will not resign as the Deputy President. He added that Raila should be blamed on all misfortunes that befall Jubilee government. He urged the residents of Nyandarua to maintain peace and promote unity.
