Political temperatures in the country are rising every day ahead of 2022 General Elections. Many politicians have been campaigning across the country to be elected and others be re-elected in various political positions. Deputy President William Ruto has been giving ODM party leader Raila Odinga sleepless nights over his increased influence in different parts of the country.
On Sunday January 16, Dp Ruto rally in Embakasi, Nairobi County was marred with chaos after some goons disrupted the proceedings. It is not clear what was the motive behind this heinous act. Police officers were forced to use tear gas to disperse some rowdy youths who were chanting anti Ruto slogans.
Orange Democratic Movement Party has issued statement follow the incidence that occured in Embakasi. According to the statement by ODM, Dp Ruto has been reminded about what happened during post election violence where several lives were lost and many people left without a place they can call home.
Speaking during press briefing, ODM party secretary Sifuna has called for the department of criminal investigation (DCI) to start probing the Jacaranda chaos to help bring clarity to the public.
