"If Ruto Comes, I'll be Available & Do Expect County Leaders to Cooperate" Nyanza ODM Governor Says

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Migori Governor Ochillo Ayacko has stated that the county doors are opened for the visit of President William Ruto, and that his county will work with the government of the day for the sake of the residents.

As quoted in a publication by the Star, Ayacko who spoke with Mayienga FM on Friday said that he is ready to welcome the president any time he tours Migori whether for a religious event or development function.

Ayacko said that Kenyans now want development politics and that amounts working with Ruto's government, adding that should the president tour his county, he will expect all the leaders to cooperate and warmly welcome the president.

"If Ruto comes for prayers, I will be there. The president is free and welcomed to Migori at any time. If he comes for development, I will receive him as county government should cooperate."

Speaking on 2027 elections, Ayacko maintained that the county will seek political guidance from their kingpin, the Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Ayacko's remarks comes few barely two weeks after the president made his tour to Homa Bay County which was the first tour to Nyanza Region since he assumed power as the fifth president.

The Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Homa Bay Town MP George Kaluma among other leaders from the county did not attend, a move that attracted criticism from Kenyans across the country.
