According to the constitution of Kenya, there should be a clerk for each house in Parliament who is appointed by the Parliamentary Service Commission.
On Tuesday, November 1, the Parliamentary Service Commission appointed Njoroge as the new clerk of the National Assembly replacing Michael Sialai.
The national assembly speaker Hon Moses Wetangula has passed a message to the new clerk hours after he was appointed and approved by National Assembly.
Speaking through his official Twitter account platform, the former Bungoma Senator passed his congratulatory message to Njoroge on behalf of the Members of the National Assembly on his appointment.
Mr Njoroge is now the administrative and procedural head of the National Assembly and is expected to oversee the day-to-day operations and affairs of the National Assembly.
Njoroge served as the Director of Legislative & Procedural Services in the house before being appointed for the new role as a clerk. Please follow for more updates.
