Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga now says the April 1 incident which saw his chopper attacked with stones by rowdy youth in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, was a plot to kill him.
Mr. Odinga on Sunday told Kenyans living in Washington DC during a town hall meeting, that he was even aware of the supposed plan ahead of businessman Jackson Kibor’s burial.

The ODM boss had arrived when Kibor had already been laid to rest. That was a few minutes past 5:30pm Friday, April 1.
Odinga arrived in the company of Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed, Embakasi lawmaker Babu Owino, among other people.
Raila Odinga has cut short his ongoing US trip, and will return to the country on Wednesday, in time for Mzee Kibaki’s state burial.
Odinga was meant to be in the US for a week, with several meetings with the Kenyan diaspora as well as a smattering of US government officials.
