With a few days remaining for the people of Matungu constituency in Kakamega county to head into a by-election that'll see Justus Murunga's successor elected, UDA's candidate in the forthcoming by-election is actively on the ground to sell his name with the hopes of being voted in.
The candidate whose name is Alex Lanya has been campaigning with the help of former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale and today he got a boost when Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi joined him in a rally in the county.
Hon Sudi, Khalwale and Hadija Nganyi camped at Indagalasia in Koyonzo ward in the afternoon today on February 23rd to drum up support for Alex Lanya and their campaign was about how a win for Lanya will be a win for hustlers in Matungu.
Lucky for the people of Matungu, the politicians didn't walk empty handed and had some money to leave behind as a sign that they care.
As Oscar Sudi who had taken the microphone to address Koyonzo residents at 1PM was finalizing his speech, he dished out Ksh 10,000 to a group of women that were standing close to him for them to expand their business.
He then told the crowd that they won't "leave them that way" and showed the men and women present where each group would converge for them to get "something small."
