The Deputy President has shared epic photos of his second-day political campaigns in Western Kenya where a mammoth crowd has come out to welcome him while chanting his name. Today's tour in Busia county gave Ruto a perfect opportunity to engage with small-scale traders as his main political agenda is to promote their businesses. Various photos have also been circulating on social media showing how delighted Ruto was to receive some products from local traders. Here are some of the things Ruto allegedly received from the people of Busia County.
1. Wooden Table
This is one of the widely shared photos in today's campaigns is whereby Ruto received a locally made table from talented traders. He urged the upcoming businessmen in the area to make good use of their vocational training and asked them to vote for him as he had good plans for them through his bottom-up approach for economic stability.
2. Ripe Bananas
Another photo surfaced in which Ruto was gifted foodstuffs from traders in the markets and one of the goods presented to him on a basin were ripe bananas. This showed how people really love the deputy president and are ready to showcase their businesses to him.
3. A tray of eggs
Ruto is a well-known hustler who is well known for rearing chicken which earns him up to over 1.5 million daily from the sale of eggs. It's not surprising as the people of Busia presented to him eggs in a tray to show their willingness to venture into egg rearing businesses. With a good leader in office who has been in the trade for a long time, Kenyan farmers can be assured of supports especially government subsidies on chicken feeds.
Ruto's social relations with small business traders keep growing each day and most believe that he is the right person to articulate their plight in the national government. Do you think this move can help Ruto win more voters compared to the Raila? Drop your comments below.
