Reasons Why Bungoma County Impeachment Petitioner Nyukuri Barasa was arraigned in Court today.

   Prof Nyukuri Barasa the activist behind the impeachment petition against Governor Wycliffe Wangamati was today arraigned in Kibera Law Courts where he was charged of being in possession of CONFIDENTIAL government documents. 

   The police asked the court to detain him for 15 days so as to complete investigations. Lawyer Khaemba objected to the application and the court is about to making a ruling on the same

   Court proceedings were conducted outside the courtroom

Nyukuri while in Nairobi last week, some NIS agents confiscated his handbag with some documents inquiring why he had those docs. Nyukuri was therefore expecting anything to happen anytime including a possible arrest.

  Governor’s representative Wakili Henry Makhakara requested for more time (one week) to go thru the documents citing late receipt. A request that was granted before the session was adjourned to Thursday next week.
