DP Ruto Goes Against Uhuru's Orders, Holds a Political Rally Amid the Surge in Covid-19 Pandemic

Deputy President William Ruto has this evening made a major political rally in West Pokot County where he has got to engage a large number of residents in the area after meeting students of Paroo Secondary School in Sugor.

This is indeed a kind of a move that is currently termed suicidal since it has promoted gatherings and lack of social distancing rule which remains to be the main spread of the deadly Covid-19 disease which is continuing to claim lives across the country.

With the recent announcement on the update of the country's current top invisible enemy by the ministry of health, it has come to the attention of many that in areas where some politics have been played on the ground recently, many people from there have been paying the prices.

For example, we have Kisumu County which is currently under lockdown with stringent measures set for them due to the surge in Covid-19 which has gone higher after the Madaraka Day celebrations.

This is the same kind of risk to which DP Ruto is likely to expose himself and also to the people of West Pokot County where he has engaged with a large number of people.

He has also risked the lives of students and teachers at Paroo Secondary School where he has donated the school bus together with some members of his hustler team.

Besides just risking the lives of the people of West Pokot, the Deputy President had also gone against the government's order of banning any kind of political rally in the country at the moment in efforts of curbing the spread of the virus among Kenyans.
