Azimio la Umoja Movement-One Kenya Alliance coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga, has recalled how he sacked Deputy President Dr William Ruto who was serving as the Minister for Agriculture during the grand coalition government of President Mwai Kibaki. But the second in command was saved by President Kibaki who retained him in his cabinet by transferring him into another ministerial docket.
Speaking during his campaign rally in Nyanza as reporterd by Nation Newspaper, Raila recalled how sacked Ruto from Agriculture ministry over famous maize scandal which Ruto was accused of. But unfortunately the President then Mwai Kibaki saved Ruto by transferring him to High Education docket. Hence Ruto cannot claim that he has a solution to the problems ailing the agriculture sector the country, why when he was there caused a very big scandal of importing maize illegally leading to the collapse of the sector.
