In February 2018, just a few months after the hotly contested 2017 general elections, Kenyans and the entire world received an earthquake when the retired incumbent president Uhuru Kenyatta and the former second Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya Hon Raila Amolo Odinga had the famous handshake and decided to work together. The two long time political enemies decided to put their differences aside for the betterment of the Republic of Kenya.
There is no more secrets as who adviced the former president Uhuru Kenyatta to have a handshake with the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Hon Raila Amolo Odinga is publicly revealed to Kenyans. According to K24 TV Kenya, Dr Fred Ogola said that it is the late president Mzee Mwai Kibaki who told the retired incumbent president Uhuru Kenyatta that he should try and bring decorum with Hon Raila for him to govern. He added that is why he had to go for a handshake with Hon Raila.
"Dr. Fred Ogola: Kibaki told Uhuru that if you take Raila into chaos situations, he thrives, just try to bring decorum with Raila then you will govern. That's why Uhuru had to handshake Raila." Tweeted by K24 TV Kenya
