Earlier on, ODM Director of Communication Hon Philip Etale, took to his Facebook page to share list of candidates who had shown interest to fly the ODM ticket in 2022.
In the statement; The National Elections Board had sent out a notice on 21st January 2021 declaring commencement of the process of Nominations for ODM Presidential candidate. Persons interested had been required to submit their applications after meeting the criteria spelt by both the Constitution of Kenya and ODM party Constitution. The process date line was moved to 31st March, which lapsed yesterday. According to the list, Three Powerful individuals tabled their papers; Mombasa Governor Hon Hassan Joho, Kakamege Boss Wycliffe Oparanya and ODM leader Raila Odinga. While Speaking to KTN Television, ODM Chairman John Mbadi, has rubbished the list. "I have not been given the list and I do not know those who have been named. We will make it public. For Raila, nothing will hinder him from becoming the flag bearer, I will convince him." Mbadi has mentioned.
