Politicians related to Deputy President William Rut, especially in Mount Kenya, find themselves at odds with their supporters because of promises of money on the way for young people, women, and children.
These include elected officials who are members of the DP's election teams, as well as candidates invited to the rally to increase their chances of winning the August election.
And now Vice President William Ruto has revealed how he lied to Kenyans with unfulfilled promises.
DP Ruto would promise young people millions of dollars every time he went to different regions, but then he wouldn't get any money.
It was reported that Kuria East MP Marwa Kitayama had to take care of herself in the house after the young men demanded the money promised by DP Ruto. Thika MP Wainain and Mary Wamau are among the leaders who claim that DP Ruto did not keep his promises and had to reach into his pocket to pay for DP Ruto's promises.
Isaac Mwaura would also reach DP Ruta and bring the merchants to DP Rutos Karen's headquarters, where the second commander promised to pay some money he did not envy.
