Once again the country has lost yet another MP. Juja member of parliament Francis Munyua Waititu popularly known as Wakapee Is allegedly reported to be dead
Waititu died on Monday evening at MP Shah Hospital after battling with cancer since 2018. His family offered a statement at around 10pm on Monday confirming his death.
" It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of our loving dad Francis Waititu. May his soul rest in eternal peace and may God grant him the divine grace, " Said the statement.
Other members of parliament have gone ahead to social media platforms to pass their condolences after news of his demise broke.
Waititu used to work for the Kenyatta's family in their farming ventures in Ruiru before venturing into politics. He was also a member of the Departmental Committee on Agriculture and Livestock in the National Assembly.
Francis Waititu was first elected on The National Alliance (TNA) ticket in 2013. He was surprisingly re-elected on a Jubilee ticket in 2017 despite having spend many months undergoing medical care in India.
