Malala Accused of Holding Night Meetings With Ruto to Fight Raila in Western

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala.

Trouble has rocked the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) following latest standoff by some of the members, especially those in Mudavadi's ANC party. The coalition is yet to settle on a presidential candidate but some members have already shown signs of joining other camps.

ANC nominated member of parliament, Godfrey Osotsi, has raised accusations against Kakamega senator, Cleophas Malala. The MP has said that he has enough evidence to prove that Malala has been meeting William Ruto at night where has been receiving money to fight Raila Odinga in Western Kenya.

According to Osotsi, Ruto has been paying a number of politicians in Mudavadi's inner circle as well as ANC's online bloggers to tarnish Odinga's name. The legislator has added that the team has been hauling insults to Raila and that they never attack Ruto.

"I'm giving my party leader Musalia Mudavadi a free advice, there are people pretending that they support you but they are working on behalf of William Ruto. They have been moving with you during the day but at night they are with Ruto receiving the brown envelopes. Someone like Malala is just after the Kakamega gubernatorial seat. He wants to use your influence to get the seat but he's not concerned whether you will become president or not," alluded Osotsi.

The ANC lawmaker went further and requested Musalia to join Raila's camp. He stated that Raila has stood with Mudavadi at many instances and that's the reason why he has managed to maintain political relevance up to date.

"The 2022 presidential contest is a two horse race between Raila Odinga and William Ruto. Raila has made Mudavadi maintain his political relevance over the years. It would be good if Musalia joins Raila ahead of 2022. We as the Luhya nation we need to be part of the next government," added Osotsi.
