The 2022 presidential race might favor Hon. Raila Odinga if Mt. Kenya decides to support him. The meeting between Kikuyus and Luos is unstoppable and the two are expected to meet again to seal the friendship. According to Kieni MP if the two communities unite the whole country will unite. Senator James Orengo added that the meeting is aimed at uniting Kenyans and not just Luos and Kikuyus but the whole country.
"Mountain meets Lake, Leaders from Mt Kenya and Nyanza meet in Nyeri ahead of Bondo visit. Raila expected to visit Nyeri after earlier visit by Kikuyu elders in October. Senate Minority leader James Orengo says meeting is not political." Citizen reported.
Roseyln Akombe reacted to the news sending out this message alleging that lives have been lost from such meetings. She said,
"To our brothers and sisters in Nyeri and Bondo . Please be careful even as you hold these meetings. We have lost most of our key elders in Kisii and Nyamira, courtesy of such meetings. We still need your wisdom. Mask up. Keep the distance. Wash your hands." Roseyln Akombe.
