The president and his deputy Dr William Ruto joined hands in 2013 and campaigned vigorously until they were able to defeat the then Prime minister Raila Odinga. They also campaigned together in 2017 and managed to win by a landslide . Now, the President and his faction duped 'Kieleweke' side have been seen to support Raila Odinga and the OKA side of the political divide.
Presidential aspirants who have already announced their candidature are going round the country trying their best to convince the electorates to vote for ideologies which will bring change in their lives.
Deputy President Dr Ruto has been holding huge rallies where thousand of people attends. The second in command has been able to bring leaders from across the divide to support him. His Bottom-Up economic model has really attracted attention from the citizens who have been trooping to his meetings with happy faces and many in the UDA party attire.
President Uhuru and Ruto's relationship is now bringing dilemma to their supporters who have been supporting them since 2013 when they took over the leadership of the country.
