Dr. Matian'gi the former interior CS has been on the headlines on all news stations and platforms. It all started when he reported that police officers had stormed his house few weeks ago. The Former CS is being investigated by EACC over his wealth which he acquired between the year 2013 to 2022.
He was summoned by the DCI but he was not in Kenya according to his legal team. He was out of the country because of family issues. His lawyers said that the summon was illegal therefore they dismissed it. A few days ago Dr. Matian'gi came back from overseas and was summoned again by the DCI and this time round he agreed to the summon and today at 8a.m he arrived at the DCI headquarters in Nairobi.
The former CS arrived at the DCI offices accompanied by his team of lawyers and azimio affiliated leaders. There was a commotion at the entrance of the offices after the leaders accompanying him were denied entrance.
The standoff was later resolved and everything returned to normal and Dr. Matian'gi is currently being questioned by the DCI.
