DP Ruto has exuded confidence in winning today’s polls.

The Kenya Kwanza Alliance presidential candidate who is a frontrunner in the election spoke in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu county minutes after he cast his vote.

Ruto was happy with the way the exercise was being conducted.

"I’m very happy the exercise of choosing the next leaders for the next five years is underway. All voters go vote peacefully, intentionally and deliberately. I am very confident the people of Kenya will make choices that will take our country to the future," He said.

He was flanked by his wife Rachel Ruto.

IEBC officers took DP Ruto’s biometrics before casting his vote at Sugoi polling station.

The August presidential hopeful arrived at the Koschei primary school polling station casually dressed.

This will be deputy Ruto’s first stab to presidency after serving as president Kenyatta's deputy for the last 10 years.

Pleased with the integral role the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Ruto urged the commission to spearhead the process without coercion.
