Essy Okenyuri, the senator nominated to replace Soipan Tuya in the most recent cabinet nominations, received the first-in-command today in Juba, South Sudan, where he is scheduled to inspect a project.
The first in command has quietly left the country for a trip to South Sudan to work on a number of projects that he will wrap up today. The first in command was met by his counterpart president Salva Kiir Mayardit at Juba International Airport, but the senator who was nominated Essy Okenyuri welcomed him.
Military respect was also shown to the first in command as he surveyed the parade before moving on to the project that he was tasked with overseeing. Additionally, he is scheduled to return to the nation today following the numerous bilateral meetings he is having with President Salva Kiir of South Sudan today. He accompanied the senator who had been nominated this time rather than going with his usual leaders.
