Dr. Paul Laboso popularly known as Chairman is lecturer at University of Nairobi. Laboso has declared his interest to get in for Nakuru gubernatorial race against current governor Lee Kinyajui, Senator Susan Kihika and former governor Kinuthia Mbugua. His promulgation is now restructuring Nakuru's politics from what was known earlier Kihika versus Kinyajui nip and tuck race.
Dr. Laboso is an ardent supporter of Deputy President William Samoei Ruto and advocate of bottom-up approach economic model. From the information that I source from his official facebook page, Laboso has kicked off his campaigns ahead of 2022 General Election. Empowerment programmes is his campaign tool that he plans to fetch him up to gubernatorial position.
Susan Kihika who has been fighting for United Democratic Party supremacy and interest in the Nakuru now have an added task to suppress the growing popularity of Dr. Laboso so as to make herself relevant in her bid.

First governor of Nakuru , Kinuthia Mbugua is expected to toss himself in the ring after he lost 2017 Jubilee nomination to incumbent Lee Kinyajui. Kinuthia who is currently serving as State House comptroller is expected to face off Lee Kinyajui in Jubilee nominations, where the winner will face the the champion from UDA primaries.
